FHPM Joins Hundreds in Olympia to Advocate for Rent Stabilization and Housing Justice at HHAD 2025
On March 14, 2025, the Foundation for Homeless and Poverty Management (FHPM) joined hundreds of advocates at the Washington State Capitol in Olympia for Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day (HHAD) 2025. This powerful day of action brought together 750 people from across the state to demand rent stabilization and housing justice.
A Unified Call for Change
With Washington residents facing rising rents and housing insecurity, FHPM stood alongside community members, organizations, and advocates to urge lawmakers to take bold action. HHAD 2025 was a statewide movement, with busloads of attendees traveling from Eastern and Southwest Washington, as well as carpools from nearly every legislative district.
FHPM showed up, spoke up, and made sure the voices of those impacted by housing instability were heard. The team participated in 118 meetings with legislators, sharing real stories, advocating for stronger tenant protections, and pushing for meaningful policy changes to prevent displacement and increase access to affordable housing.
The Work Doesn’t Stop Here
While HHAD 2025 was a powerful step forward, the fight for housing justice is far from over. FHPM is committed to keeping the momentum going by:
✔ Following up with legislators to reinforce our message.✔ Engaging the community to raise awareness and build support.✔ Continuing to advocate for policies that protect renters and ensure stable housing for all.
This movement is growing, and FHPM is proud to be at the forefront of the fight for housing justice. If you want to get involved, stay connected with us and help us push for a future where everyone in Washington has a safe and affordable place to call home.
Together, we can make lasting change!
